COMETS OUTLAST REDS, 20-17

In one of the highest scoring games in GPMABL history, the Philadelphia Comets outlasted the Bucks County Reds 20-17 on July 13.  Both teams capitlized on poor defensive play, with each team scoring in six of the seven innings.  Phil Motely earned his third victory of the year, while Tommy Jackson and DeWitt Brown threw the final three innings to clinch the victory.

Offensively, the Comets were paced by Spencer Graves, who had a pair of doubles and single in a 3-for-4 day.  Graves also knocked in 2 runs and scored 3.  Tommy Jackson, Andrew Marcus and Scott Colmyer also added multi-hit games, and Jeremy Honaker and Matt Gionta each scored 3 runs.

Next up for the Comets are the Protective Video Mustangs at Pietropola Memorial Field in Clifton Heights.
